The Diamond Extrusions are three-dimensional wallworks that are extruded from the Diamond Rotation print series, which in turn were derived from the solid/void of the Stackworks series sculptures. It’s as if vision itself is captured, flattened, and then returned to the three-dimensional realm where it takes on an altered presence within our observable world. Our experience of seeing is reified into physical matter, and ultimately what we initially experienced as void is made solid and real. Prototypes of the works are being 3D printed and the future works will be cast in aluminum.
